Darin Cook and Rich Blaser, two former utility energy buyers, started Infinite Energy, Inc. in 1994. The company has grown and prospered in the deregulated energy environment and now employs over 300 employees in our Florida, Georgia and New Jersey offices. With the growth of the company, it was discovered in order to offer the best services possible for our customers, Infinite Energy, Inc. not only needed to provide energy services, but needed to have the ability to invoice our customers and manage their accounts with the utmost accuracy. With this in mind, Infinite Software, LLC was developed and ADEPT Utility Management System (ADEPT) came to be.
Through research, trial programs and much hands on development, Infinite Energy, Inc. (Infinite) felt that the billing system should be the key to ensuring that our customers received the best service possible, from the purchase of natural gas to receiving and paying invoices. Infinite also had to make sure the billing system could handle any rate structure, be able to mine data to enhance marketing focus, define profitability by customer type, find bad debt percentage, satisfy PSC requests and a multitude of other needs.
Infinite avoided some of the pitfalls of competitors during a time of massive growth in the deregulated market by not following their philosophy of marketing first and everything else second. Infinite's philosophy is to put the customer first.
From this research and knowledge, Infinite Software, LLC was formed to produce an unprecedented comprehensive enterprise solution built from the bottom up specifically to meet the complex needs of the energy business. ADEPT Utility Management System is the solution for this need.
